Hi there! My name is Panthera, your personal helper bot. What can I help with today?

Florida Tech Scholarships And Grants

What is Florida Tech willing to invest in your undergraduate education? More than you may know. University aid comes in the form of merit-based academic Scholarships, Florida Tech Family Grants, and Need-Based Grants.

Both in-state and out-of-state U.S. students may earn university aid packages that cover up to 50% of tuition. Florida resident students may alternatively be eligible for awards covering up to 100% of tuition as well as certain fees.

Florida Tech Scholarships

Your complete application for admission to full-time undergraduate study at the university's Melbourne campus is your application for most of the merit-based opportunities that follow. There is no separate application to be considered for merit-based aid, but you may need to include certain documentation with your application. Please make sure to provide all the necessary materials.

Scholarships are awarded at the time of admission. A student must be admitted and enroll as a full-time, degree-seeking undergraduate student in Melbourne in order to claim an awarded scholarship. Scholarships listed below are available to domestic (U.S.) freshman unless otherwise indicated;  and  are listed separately.

Florida Resident Scholarships and Academic Scholarships are mutually exclusive; they do not "stack" and cannot be combined. If a student qualifies for more than one of the scholarships below, the student will be offered the higher scholarship, but not the sum of two or more. Scholarships in an amount less than full tuition may, however, be combined with Incentive Scholarships, Florida Tech Family Grants, and Need-Based Grants.

Florida Tech scholarships can be combined with state and federal scholarship and grant programs.

Florida Tech Grants

Florida Tech grants are awarded to students based on factors other than merit, such as need. Grants are "gift" awards and do not need to be repaid. To be considered for need-based grants, applicants must file the FAFSA.

Only students who complete the FAFSA and select Florida Tech to receive their Student Aid Report may be considered for Florida Tech need-based grants. International students are not eligible for need-based grants from Florida Tech.

Florida Tech Fund Grant

The Florida Tech Fund Grant is available to students who have a demonstrated financial need, as determined by the FAFSA. All applicants with a completed FAFSA will be considered for a Florida Tech Fund Grant. Grant amounts are based on a student's EFC and other gift aid. As such, grant amounts are not fixed and may vary from year to year depending on variable data.

Boundless Opportunity Grants

Boundless Opportunity Grants help make Florida Tech more financially accessible for high-achieving students with unmet financial need. These grants are limited to students residing in select counties in Florida. Currently, Florida Tech offers the following:

  • Brevard Boundless Opportunity Grant
  • Indian River Opportunity Grant
  • Osceola Boundless Opportunity Grant
  • Volusia Boundless Opportunity Grant

Qualified recipients of one of the above Boundless Opportunity Grants receive additional funds in the amount of the difference between tuition and fees and the student's other gift assistance (including merit-based university and state scholarships). With one of these grants, an eligible student who enrolls at Florida Tech will owe the university zero dollars for tuition and fees.

In order to receive a Boundless Opportunity Grant as part of a comprehensive financial aid package, a student must:

  • Reside in Brevard County, Indian River County, Osceola County or Volusia County, Florida
  • Complete the FAFSA and be Federal Pell Grant eligible
  • Qualify for the Florida Academic Scholarship or the Florida Medallion Scholarship (Bright Futures)
  • Apply and be admitted to Florida Tech by May 1
